LORD WE HAVE SEARCHED

Lord, we have searched in the greatest heights

and the deepest depths.   We have searched

in the world of men, in the world of money,

in the world of leisure and in the world of pleasure.

 

Lord, we have searched in laughter and in despair,

we have searched in the shadows and in the light

but we have found no God to compare with you.

No-one but you can satisfy the longing in our heart.

No-one but you can fill our emptiness.

 

Bring us, Lord, to a new place of worship.

Fill us from head to toe, from fingertip to fingertip

with your love, flood our whole being

with the wonder of your presence.

Let us be immersed in you.

For your name is Glory, your name is Majesty,

your name is Power and Might, your name is Love.

Lord, we worship you.   Amen
